To mis-quote Elephant Man, "I am not a web-designer", or another source, "I'm not a webmaster, but I play one on TV".
Cramming over 20 years of work history onto a formal resume doesn't seem to do a career justice. What I am is a software engineer with good organizational skills, disciplined design skills, excellent attention to detail, and a strong (almost obsessive) need for product simplicity, efficiency, flexibility and maintainability.
My areas of expertise are Software Configuration Management, Relational Database Design and Administration, and Server Development. These responsibilities have also honed my skills in storage planning and management, disaster recovery planning, and message timing and management.
I'm a fantastic Application Developer, with a love for a good algorithm. I've spent much time on both "new development" and "maintenance", and have experience with a wide variety of both object-oriented and procedural languages.
